Christine Verheyden

Christine Verheyden (°1981, Genk) is a Belgian actress and writer. She studied dramatic arts at the LUCA School of Arts in Leuven after graduating as an Egyptian Archeologist (Leuven – Caïro). She has created, written and performed plays for several theater houses and different audiences. 

Her first love will always be film. She worked with directors Michaël R. Roskam, Tim Mielants, Cecilia Verheyden and Indra Siera. In the short movies of director Sara Van Oostrum, she is a well-respected cast member. Her strength lies in her adaptability and her language skills. She speaks Dutch, French, English and German fluently, and she even played a role in Yiddish and understands Arabic. 

Christine Verheyden also lent her voice to several animated series. The best-known is ‘Plankton Invasion’ from Joeri Christiaen.
